These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the websites, mobile applications, membership portals, training materials, events, tournaments, and other products and services (collectively, the “Services”) provided by Shakil’s School of Martial Arts Karate Organization (“SSMAKO,” “we,” “us,” or “our”).
By using or accessing our Services, you agree to be bound by these Terms and any policies referenced herein, including our Privacy Policy and Acceptable Use Policy. If you do not agree, you must discontinue use of our Services immediately.

1. Eligibility and Authority
You must be at least 18 years old to create an account or make purchases through our Services.
Parents or legal guardians may create accounts on behalf of minors for training and event participation.
By registering on behalf of a child or organization, you confirm you are authorized to agree to these Terms.
2. Accounts and Security
You may need to create an account to access certain features (e.g., tournament registration, online training, event bookings).
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login information and for all activities under your account.
Notify us immediately at info@shakilwarriors.com if you suspect unauthorized use.
3. Privacy
Your privacy is important to us. Please review our Privacy Policy (linked on our site) for details on how we collect, use, and safeguard personal data, including student information and parental contact details.
4. Services and Content License
Our Services may allow you to upload, post, or share content (e.g., photos, training videos, reviews).
By submitting content, you grant SSMAKO a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to use, reproduce, and display such content solely for operational and promotional purposes (e.g., showcasing tournament highlights or student achievements).
You must own or have permission to share any content you upload.
5. Prohibited Conduct
You agree not to:
Misuse our Services for unlawful, harmful, or fraudulent purposes.
Harass, threaten, or abuse other users, students, or staff.
Share unauthorized recordings of classes or events.
Attempt to hack, reverse engineer, or disrupt our Services.
Violate intellectual property rights of SSMAKO or others.
6. Program Fees, Payments, and Cancellations
Subscriptions and Memberships
Martial arts memberships, camps, and after-school programs are billed according to the terms selected at sign-up (monthly, seasonal, annual).
Automatic renewal: Memberships renew automatically unless canceled in writing.
Cancellation Policy
Cancellations must be submitted via email to billing@shakilwarriors.com.
Refunds are subject to the terms of your signed membership agreement (no refunds for past charges; future billing stops at the end of the paid period).
Tournaments, Camps, and Events
Registration fees for events are non-refundable unless explicitly stated in the event’s registration page or promotional materials.
Credits may be offered in lieu of refunds for certain circumstances.
7. Code of Conduct for Members
Students and families must uphold dojo values: respect, discipline, and integrity.
Bullying, aggressive behavior outside training, or disrespect to instructors may result in suspension or termination of membership without refund.
Participation in tournaments, camps, or seminars may require separate waivers.
8. Intellectual Property
All class materials, curriculum, logos, photos, and media from SSMAKO are owned by us and protected by copyright and trademark laws.
You may not reproduce, sell, or distribute these materials without permission.
9. Third-Party Content and Links
Our Services may include links to third-party platforms (e.g., payment processors, tournament systems like Uventex).
We are not responsible for the content, policies, or actions of third-party services.
10. Assumption of Risk & Waivers
Martial arts involve physical activity that carries inherent risk. By enrolling or participating in our programs, you acknowledge these risks and agree to hold SSMAKO harmless for injuries except in cases of gross negligence.
Event participation (e.g., tournaments) may require additional liability waivers.
11. Disclaimers
Our Services are provided “as is.” We make no warranties regarding uninterrupted access, error-free operation, or fitness for a particular purpose.
While we strive for accuracy, we cannot guarantee all content or schedules are free from errors.
12. Limitation of Liability
SSMAKO shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from use of our Services.
Our total liability shall not exceed the amount paid by you for the Services in question.
13. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold SSMAKO, its instructors, and affiliates harmless from claims, damages, or losses arising out of your misuse of the Services or violation of these Terms.
14. Dispute Resolution
Any disputes will be resolved through binding arbitration in Essex County, New Jersey, unless otherwise required by law.
You waive the right to participate in class-action lawsuits against SSMAKO.
15. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of New Jersey, without regard to conflict of law principles.
16. Changes to Terms
We may update these Terms periodically. We will post the revised Terms on our website and update the “Last Updated” date. Continued use after changes indicates acceptance.
17. Termination
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to Services at our discretion, including for violation of these Terms.
